 Traveling, golfing, snowboarding

How did you hear about the ACCESS program? Why did you apply?

I heard about the ACCESS program from a professor at UW-Madison

What were some interesting/fun things you did at ACCESS and/or people you met?

We interacted with a lot of the MIT faculty, toured Cambridge/Boston, and were treated to an outstanding dinner!

What was your favorite part of the weekend and why?

My favorite part of ACCESS was meeting Prof. Robert Langer.

Do you think you benefitted from the program – did it help you in any way? Why or why not?

Yes, I think ACCESS helped me a lot actually. It provided a lot of networking opportunities, allowed me to tour the Boston area, and gave me another experience to put on my medical/graduate school applications.

Prior to attending ACCESS, did you have plans to apply for Graduate School? How did ACCESS impact your decision?

Prior to attending ACCESS, I was 90-95% positive that I wanted to go to graduate school. ACCESS reaffirmed my desire and brought that number up to 100%.

Are you planning on applying to/attending Graduate School now?  If so where?

I am currently in the MD/PhD program at Northwestern University.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?  10 years?

In 5 years, I will have completed my PhD and be finishing up my MD. In 10 years, I hope to be a neuroradiologist and researcher in the field of biomedical nanotechnology.

Anything else you want to share

You meet stimulating people in graduate school - I met my fiance in the first month of class!
